Taking time when you begin any task, it is important to Patiently Observe what is happening. Your mind is charged with keeping track of your environment and its relationship to your body. The mind keeps track of oxygen balance, wound healing, and other functions of the body. If you receive a cut and your body stops the bleeding and heals it, this is not an emotional response. You may be happy that you did not bleed to death, or that the wound healed, but then it becomes emotional.
The mental aspect of guiding comes into play when you know your clients' area of interest, your own physical abilities, and the logistics of your trip. The brain does not send a signal to your legs to walk if muscles are cramped or too tired to move. Your brain also keeps track of what is available on your body, and knows if you have available fingers or toes that can be used to find a sense of balance. When you are dealing with the mental aspects of your clients, you become aware of their fingers and toes and their ability to find balance.

Your Adventure Awaits
Your brain is usually aware when you need food and when you need sleep. Problems occur when you do not listen to yourself. The same thing can occur if you do not listen to your clients or if you become unaware of their needs.
The mental aspect of guiding not only includes the physical capabilities of your clients, but also knowing their names and key important things about them. You will also need to know the area and circumstances at which you are guiding. You should also learn first aid, rescue skills, and wilderness first responder skills (WFR).
To facilitate these mental powers, we will be helping you with some programs that vastly increase your ability to remember names, places, and faces. You will also need to read maps and follow directions. If the train leaves the station at 60 miles per hour and the other leaves at 90 miles per hour, when will they collide? Just as with physical, social, karmic, and emotional balance, you will need practice with mental balance.
